An international team of physicists has published a radical new model, the “Black Hole Universe” (BHU), proposing that our Universe is the result of a gravitational collapse followed by a ‘quantum bounce’ inside a massive black hole. This model suggests our Universe emerged from the interior of a pre-existing, collapsing cosmic entity, grounding the Universe’s expansion and geometry in known physics (General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics) without relying on speculative fields like inflation, and potentially solving the singularity problem of the Big Bang.
